Robinpaw's dreams were haunted. Faces of cats she didn't know swirled around her like water, calling to her as they disappeared into darkness. Now and then, the scared kittypet's eyes flashed before her. A familiar golden coat came into vision. Thunderclaw padded just a few fox-lengths ahead of her, but when Robinpaw tried to call out, her voice wouldn't work. She scrambled to catch up with him, but it was as if the faster she ran the farther away he seemed.   Just as Robinpaw thought she'd catch up, a bright barrier sprung up between them.
